A little bit about me
A Midwestern girl through and through, I live in Central Iowa with my wonderful boyfriend Draz, our two crazy dogs (Crystal and Achilles) and our three rats (Bram, Renfield and Harker).
There are a lot of things I love to do, including cooking, working out, creating art, reading and hiking. I like to keep busy too! Here are the other things outside of blogging that I do!
- I work overnights full-time. It’s not a dream job, but it is the job that allows me to follow my dreams!
- I create one-of-a-kind jewelry combining glass fusion and wire wrapping! Interested? You can check out my shop here and my Instagram!
- As of Dec 2016, I started teaching group fitness at my local YMCA. I love it and can’t wait to start teaching more!
How Nymph in the Woods got started
A few years ago, my life took some dramatic twists and turns. Those changes left me with no real idea as to who I was or how I was going to deal with this new life. It was the best thing that could have happened to me. That lost feeling started a whole new period of self-exploration and examination, ultimately leading to me starting this blog!
Two of the things that made the biggest changes to my life during this period was my finding my passion for fitness and transforming my love of cooking into a love of meal prep. These two loves have dramatically changed my life and I believe they can for you too!
I started this blog to share what I have learned (and continue to explore) about finding the happiness within your life and working towards a healthier you! Plus making time for the things that fulfill you mentally and emotionally (and finding new ones too)!
I hope you will join me on this journey! I can’t wait to get to know you better and find out how I can help you along your own journey to a more happy, healthy and fulfilled life!
To get in touch or keep up with what I’m up to, make sure to head over to my Instagram (where I am most of the time), Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter accounts 🙂 Not into social media? You can also leave me a comment or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org!
